The Role
The successful applicant will be the Agriculture Teacher at the college with a focus on teaching students from Year 7 to Year 12. You would work collaboratively with the Farm Manager, and Agricultural Technical Officers to improve educational outcomes for students. In Years 10-12 you will offer VET Certificate courses for students. The successful applicant should ideally hold, or be willing to complete additional studies towards obtaining, a Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification, and have experience / qualifications in the agricultural / horticultural areas. You will ideally possess a sound understanding of the Agricultural curriculum and the ability to use high impact learning strategies to successfully engage students in Agriculture should be evident in your practice. You will ideally build positive relationships with your students, be passionate about creating positive futures for students, and utilise evidence-based decision making skills within your practice.
