We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream - Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Glengarry Primary School (PS) is an attractive school located in the suburb of Duncraig, approximately 15 kilometres north of Perth City. The well-kept buildings, featuring student made mosaic masterpieces are surrounded by tranquil, natural bushland, flowerbeds and well maintained grassed and bitumen play areas.

The supportive, dedicated, and experienced staff works collaboratively to enhance each of the 400 student's physical, social, academic, and emotional development. Assisted by continuing professional development, the staff are working to prepare students for the many demands and rapid change of the 21st century. The school is well resourced, especially in technology.

The Role

Mainstream Education Assistants (EA) assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs and under teacher direction implement individual or small group programs. The role also involves assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials, and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstrations, and assisting the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. Mainstream EA’s also assist the teacher with the care and supervision of students and the general care of student health and wellbeing, building an inclusive environment.

The suitable applicants will work as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high quality, student focused learning programs.

We are seeking suitable applicants who utilize their organisational skills to assist the delivery of effective educational programs to students, ideally have good interpersonal skills, shows initiative and conflict management. Applicants should also understand confidentiality and have a proven track record of working with students successfully. In addition, applicants should be able to build relationships with parents and work closely with the teachers and service providers.
