We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

We are ideally seeking Primary Teachers with exceptional interpersonal skills, displaying a strong ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with parents and families, students, and colleagues within our small school community. As a teacher at White Gum Valley PS, you should establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, set high expectations, foster a growth mindset and support students’ social and emotional development. As a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) school, we value knowledge of positive behaviour support and restorative practices that promote student wellbeing and self-regulation.

We have a strong focus on High Impact Teaching Strategies and evidence-based programs. Experience with Lighthouse Maths and explicit phonics programs such as Heggerty and Letters and Sounds, along with an understanding of OCHRE, will be highly regarded. The ability to differentiate learning through high-quality lesson design, effective adjustments and flexible delivery to meet diverse student needs is desirable.

Suitable applicants should be reflective and committed to continuous improvement. You should display the ability to analyse and use system, whole-school and classroom achievement data to inform teaching and improve student progress. Collaboration, the ability to share expertise, and a commitment to working in partnership with families to support strong student outcomes will ideally enhance your application, as White Gum Valley PS is a small school that values teamwork and maximises the strengths of every staff member.
