We are seeking to establish a pool of Cleaners for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Marakool Primary School is situated on Noongar Whadjuk Boodjhar and opened for Kindy to Year 6 students in 2025. The Foundation Principal, Anika Blackmore, is committed to genuine and ongoing community engagement when establishing a learning environment reflective of the local community's needs. The Role

Suitable applicants would carry out internal cleaning duties, in accordance with the Department’s procedures. The duties include the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal and other items of general cleaning.

In addition to this, suitable applicants would also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs, other general cleaning and other such duties as required by the Cleaner in Charge. Vacation cleaning duties also need to be completed and include shampooing carpets and pressure cleaning various areas.

To be suitable for this role you will ideally have good attention to detail and be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You will ideally be organised, honest, reliable and punctual and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
