Excelsior Primary School is an Independent Public School located in the suburb of Canning Vale with an enrolment of 320 students in 13 classes from Kindergarten to Year 6.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 5 to 6 Teacher who will ideally work collaboratively within our innovative Year 4 to 6 Phase of Learning team, where teamwork, creativity, and shared practice are highly valued.

Our school is committed to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and the use of high impact teaching strategies, including daily reviews, to create a supportive and engaging learning environment in which all students can succeed. You will join a skilled and forward-thinking team that values collaboration, welcomes new ideas, and is dedicated to delivering high quality learning experiences for every student.

Our culture is characterised by strong professional support, openness, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.

Experience with Teach Well or Shaping Minds, and the 7 Steps of Writing is desirable but not essential. As a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD – Apple IPAD) school, confidence in the use of digital technologies to support and value add to teaching and learning is advantageous. The successful applicant ideally will also demonstrate a willingness to engage in coaching cycles as part of ongoing professional growth.
