This is a permanent part-time (0.63 FTE) position commencing as soon as possible

Menzies Community School is situated 130kms north of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and is a highly supportive, welcoming and inclusive school. The current school population of 21 includes not only students from Menzies township but also students who travel by bus each day from Morapoi Station.

Menzies is a calm, friendly community with collegiate staff who regularly enjoy social badminton, city weekend shopping in Kalgoorlie and visiting local sights such as Lake Ballard (Astro tourism, Antony Gormley exhibition), catching yabbies at local dams and visiting historic gold mining towns along the Golden West Discovery Trail on the weekends. Strong collegiate networks between the northern schools offer opportunities for friendship and collegial experiences.

The school currently has two primary classes one of which is a dedicated Early Childhood centre Kindergarten to Year 2, Years 3 to 6, as well as a high school room Year 7 to 12 in which supervision is provided for students who are enrolled in subjects through the School of Isolated and Distance Education. Our students learn Key Word Signs, Auslan and Wangkatja languages. The school amenities include a health fitness centre, breakfast room, playgroup, new sensory playground, sensory room, heritage buildings, vegetable and fruit gardens, multi-purpose court and a new under covered area due for completion in 2025.
