The Role

The successful applicant will provide expert support in liaising with school professional staff to maintain therapeutic and support equipment for both staff and students. Highly desirable skills include the ability to manage the purchasing of consumables and materials, carry out repairs, and operate equipment to ensure safety and functionality at all times. The ability to coordinate and communicate with contractors and create and maintain records is important.

Experience in monitoring and maintaining school plant and machinery, particularly swimming pools and spas, is highly desirable. The successful applicant will ideally display a strong understanding of government safety standards and guidelines, including water quality management, playground equipment upkeep, and signage compliance. A commitment to maintaining secure, hazard-free work areas, effective budget management for machinery and chemicals, and ensuring all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid supplies are appropriately located and maintained, is highly desirable.
