We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Mainstream Education Assistants work under the direction and in collaboration with their classroom teacher to create an effective, engaging and inclusive environment based on high expectations, best practice, early intervention and integrated use of information and communication technology (ICT) for learning.

Suitable applicants will have the ability to work independently with minimal instruction, as well as working collaboratively and effectively within a team environment. If you possess these qualities, you are strongly encouraged to apply.

As an Education Assistants - Mainstream you will utilise strong written and oral communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs and possess the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. In addition, suitable applicants should be able to use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment to meet the specific needs of the students.
