Bruce Rock District High School (DHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Bruce Rock DHS is 240 km from Perth and caters for 110 children from Kindergarten to Year 11. Our specialised team of Early Childhood staff provide high quality and engaging classes for the children's first introduction to education. Support for students with Special Needs is provided across the school, and this pool will fill roles in classrooms from Kindergarten to Year 10.

The Role

Join our team as a Mainstream Education Assistant and play a vital role in shaping the lives of students. As an Education Assistant, you would support our teachers in providing learning support for students and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This is an opportunity to make a real cultural impact in the lives of students and to develop your own skills and autonomy in a supportive environment.

In this role, you would assist teachers in delivering planned education programs, including implementing individual or small group programs or demonstrations. You should also help maintain the learning environment by keeping equipment, materials, and resources organised and ready for use in classes and activities, and by helping to keep the classroom clean and safe. We are an inclusive school, and every class supports students with additional learning needs within the mainstream environment.
