We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

At Millen Primary School (PS) we look forward to educating your child and seeing them grow, discover and prepare themselves for the future. Located in East Victoria Park, Millen PS caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Our teaching team is highly motivated and professional and consists of classroom teachers and specialist teachers ranging from graduate and beginning teachers to experienced teachers. We offer programs in physical education, health, Japanese, music and visual arts.

The Role

We are looking for Education Assistant – Special Needs with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute to a professional team and provide advice and evaluation in the development of the education program, including special education and therapy programs where they have been implemented.  In addition, the ability to assist professionals in the implementation and evaluation of education programs, including special education and, if required, occupational and/or physiotherapy programs.

Suitable applicants would ensure classroom and school community level support is provided to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant, appropriately resourced and maintained, with the health and safety of students a high priority.
