The Role
We are seeking an innovative and creative Marketing and Media Officer to join our team. In this role, you should develop appropriate communications, publications, marketing activities and support materials for identified target audiences and events. The Media and Marketing Officer works in partnership with the Principal and the Executive team to promote the college within the local community, as well as work collaboratively to support engagement with the community and other stakeholders.
This role may include the production of a range of school publications such as business plans, annual reports, newsletters, and advertisements; as well the carefully curating the online presence of the college via our website, social media and other communication platforms. In addition, the Marketing and Media Officer is responsible for assisting in creation of promotional materials and events, including the organisation and coordination of events and providing executive support to the Principal.
The successful applicant will establish and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders across media, local government, businesses and other agencies. They will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of marketing strategies and actively seeking out new opportunities to further increase partnerships and opportunities for engagement with the wider community.
You will also ideally have sound communication skills to liaise with key stakeholders to organise promotional events and to provide operational support in the development, implementation and management of the schools Marketing Plan.
You should be confident in taking photographs, producing video content and managing a large image library. An understanding and use of Adobe software including InDesign and Photoshop is desirable. Experience using Canva and Sway is also desirable.
At times, you may be asked to liaise with design agencies, provide detailed briefs and manage the school’s style guide with the school.
