We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for both Mainstream and for our Intensive English Centre (IEC). These roles may be for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

We are seeking teachers who ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills, enabling them to work within a collaborative team environment and engage in whole school planning.  Suitable applicants should have the capacity and commitment to, ongoing professional growth and development, support for current whole-school processes and participation in whole school collaborative planning.

Suitable applicants should be able to demonstrate their capacity to implement a differentiated, targeted curriculum to a diverse range of students, including English as an Additional Language/Dialect students who may be in the IEC (Stage 1). Ideally, suitable applicants should have a thorough understanding of the West Australian Curriculum to inform their planning, teaching and assessment as it is important to the role.

Applicants who are wishing to work in the IEC should ideally possess competency in teaching students of varying ability and English language proficiency in a highly engaging manner. They should be dedicated and highly motivated educators with the ability to develop quality teaching and learning programs across all learning areas to develop the students’ language and literacy needs. The suitable applicants should have a passion for working with a variety of students including overseas students and humanitarian visa holders.

Suitable applicants for IEC roles should also have a strong knowledge of teaching strategies to support language acquisition through subject content. Further, experience in teaching phonics and phonemic awareness, a sound knowledge of, and explicit teaching in grammar, reading comprehension, oral language, and writing is also desirable.

Suitable applicants should be reflective, open to feedback and committed to achieving outstanding educational outcomes for every student, whilst building effective working relationships with students and their families. Positive, supportive relationships that create a sense of belonging for all members of the community is a fundamental value of our school.
