
We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Yarralinka Primary School (PS) is seeking flexible, enthusiastic and committed School Officers to join our team. Yarralinka PS is in the growing suburb of Southern River, surrounded by rapidly developing housing estates. In 2026 Yarralinka PS is expecting to have approximately 320 students enrolled. Our school community includes families of different backgrounds and cultures, many from overseas, where English is not the first language or dialect spoken at home.

The Role
As a School Officer at Yarralinka PS, you would be the first point of contact for our students, families, staff and community and as such, good customer service skills are highly desirable. Suitable applicants will ideally have a friendly, positive and caring attitude and possess the qualities to promote excellence within our school and to interact with parents and the wider community. Suitable applicants should possess good organisational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to move between tasks and different environments within our school.
The role consists of reception duties, including greeting visitors, answering the telephone and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information, in an efficient and friendly manner. You will also be required to distribute and collect documents, forms, and mail, collect and receipt monies, operate and maintain office equipment, input data and generate reports, arrange catering for school functions, assist with maintenance of school facilities, and support student-related activities, such as maintaining attendance records, and assisting with student enrolment procedures. A good working knowledge of Integris, Compass, Passtab and RM Billing plus strong attention to detail, accurate data entry and the ability to work well within a team environment are highly regarded.
