
Cervantes Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally be highly competent, enthusiastic and passionate. They will work as part of a whole school team and need to demonstrate high levels of performance. They are required to work across multiple class levels, supporting the class teacher to meet the needs of the students.
To be suitable as a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will ideally have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will ideally have a successful history of working in collaboration with others and be prepared to assist teachers with the preparation and delivery of learning experiences and the general care and wellbeing of students.
Suitable applicants will have the opportunity to work in an environment committed to whole school approaches, self-reflection and continuous self-improvement. You will ideally work in a team to support the learning of students and develop relationships with students and their parents.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
