This is a permanent part-time (0.1 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026

Situated just over 2 hours from Perth within the Wheatbelt region, Miling Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School that caters for children from Kindergarten to Year Six. At Miling PS, we provide high quality education, nurturing the growth and development of every child. We have a long and proud history, and our enrolments are drawn predominantly from our surrounding farming families.

Our extraordinary parents and carers have contributed significantly to the excellent resources we use in our teaching and learning experiences every day, and our school grounds boast an adventure playground, a large covered outdoor play area, soccer/hockey pitch, basketball court, tennis court and a thriving kitchen garden.

The Role

As a Library Officer, you will be responsible for the provision of reference information and maintaining the resources, environment, and associated services of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. The Library Officer also administers the library systems ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are always accessible and available to students and staff.

The successful applicant will ideally be a lover of books who is able to inspire students with a love of reading, create a welcoming atmosphere in the library and collaborate with other staff to promote reading throughout the school. You will ideally be a great communicator who is approachable and able to display the capacity to work cooperatively with others to create a welcoming and vibrant library environment for students and families. A love of books and a sound understanding of library systems, processes and stocktakes is beneficial.
