The School
John Butler Primary College (PC), catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6, is in the northern suburb of Butler. Opened in 2014, the college is of a modern and contemporary design, including purpose-built specialist facilities for students with disability. The innovative college model, which integrates a regular Primary Education Program and a dedicated Education Support Program for students with disability in one school, provides an inclusive and tailored learning experience to support students of all abilities to achieve their personal best.

The Role
The opportunity to become a member of the highly collaborative and vibrant learning community at John Butler PC awaits the successful applicant. The successful applicants will ideally be able to build productive relationships and to communicate positively with students, parents, and the whole community. They would have initiative and the drive to improve student outcomes. The successful applicant should be open to, and committed to ongoing learning to develop professionally, and have experience of using evidence-based research methods to ensure best practice.
Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills that will enhance effective learning are highly desirable. The successful applicant should ideally be highly motivated and committed to raising literacy and numeracy achievement, as well as social and emotional skills, through the effective use of whole-school approaches and explicit teaching. We are also seeking applicants who may be able to display their leadership capacity in these areas.
