The Role
Deputy Principal’s at South Halls Head PS play a key role in various operational and curriculum aspects of the school. Strong knowledge of these operational, student services and/or curriculum is highly desirable.
As a Deputy Principal, suitable applicants should be highly motivated and reflective, and possess excellent organisational skills, as well as highly developed interpersonal skills. Suitable applicants would demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with others, using adept interpersonal acumen to sustain a professional team culture whereby staff feel supported. Other desirable qualities would include high levels of integrity, professionalism, and collegiality, as well as the ability to anticipate and adapt to change. Ideally, part of this role includes having a highly visible presence, strongly supporting the promotion and marketing of the school.
Suitable applicants should ideally possess strong leadership skills to drive a culture of continuous whole school improvement that supports staff to implement high impact, evidenced-based instructional strategies, based on explicit teaching.
