The Role

Eaton Community College is seeking a skilled and passionate Student Support Coordinator (SSC) to join our Student Services Team and play a pivotal role in improving wellbeing, engagement and outcomes for young people.

This is a senior Allied Professional role suited to a qualified Social Worker who is motivated by impact, collaboration and systems-level change. The SSC leads the design, implementation and evaluation of targeted, evidence-based wellbeing systems and interventions, working at the intersection of student wellbeing, family engagement and whole-school improvement to support students experiencing educational, social and emotional risk.

The successful applicant will coordinate direct service delivery across pastoral care and social and emotional wellbeing initiatives, including community outreach, home visits, engagement with external agencies, whole-school programs and targeted group work. The role provides specialist advice in complex student matters, including crisis intervention and high-risk case management, and supports improved engagement, attendance and educational outcomes through data-informed practice.

The SSC provides individualised case management and coordinates internal and external support services to ensure timely and appropriate assistance for students and families. Working alongside the Program Coordinator Student Services and the Program Coordinator Learning Support, the SSC contributes to coordinated case management processes and builds strong partnerships with students, parents and carers, staff and external agencies to improve student wellbeing, engagement and educational outcomes.

    5. Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in the youth, mental health and community sectors, particularly in working with local organisations and services to best support young people, additionally, knowledge and professional practice and code of ethical framework standards.
