Our school has a long and proud history from 1923 and while tradition is an important part of our culture, our focus is on preparing children for the future. Orange Grove's reputation for inclusivity, high expectations and explicit instruction in literacy and numeracy attracts students from a variety of areas.

The Role

We’re looking for people who ideally enjoy a challenge and are motivated to push themselves, both professionally and personally. The successful applicant will ideally take ownership of their own development, is open to feedback, and is willing to embrace evidence-based approaches to support student learning. Applicants that value teamwork and actively contribute to a positive, collective school culture are encourged to apply. At OGPS, we believe that finding the right people comes first, we’ll support you with the skills and development that follow, but the mindset, commitment, and values start with you.

The successful applicant should assist teaching staff in the delivery of planned education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. They will also provide feedback when required on education and therapy programs and participate in the evaluation process relating to student progress. The ability to assist with the general health and wellbeing of students is highly desired.

To be successful in the role, you will ideally use strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos, and priorities across the school community. The successful applicant should ideally possess the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, and teachers. Experience working independently delivering phonics intervention via Promoting Literacy Development (PLD) or other synthetic phonics programs would be beneficial to the role.
