About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a positive school culture that promotes positive relationships between students, staff and the wider community of Djugerari including service providers and stakeholders in the educational work of the school.
Principals are responsible for being innovative and creative in the establishment of systems and structures to foster academic development and improvements in social and emotional development for students, as well as engaging a diverse school community in the educational programs of the school.
The school is part of the Kimberley schools project and the principal is required to lead the work on embedding Targeted Teaching, Early Years, Community Engagement and Attendance as part of whole school planning and teaching and learning programs. Student attendance and engagement continue to be a regional and school focus. This school has a strong focus on Two Way Science and connecting with the community and Two-Way Science team in developing school-based curriculum programs for students. The school continues to support students at the end of year 6 into secondary pathways.
The principal is required to be actively involved in the Fitzroy Valley Network Schools and associated priorities with other valley schools as well as sustaining a positive partnership with community.
