The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Family and Student Engagement and Liaison Officer to join our Connected Community School team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a locally led, culturally safe whole-school approach that strengthens partnerships, builds positive community relationships and supports students and their families to improve student learning, wellbeing and life outcomes.
As Family and Student Engagement and Liaison Officer, you would be able to develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with community services, other government agencies, service providers and local organisations to better connect students and their families with the supports they need.
You will ideally be a driven and caring individual who is able to build rapport and trust with students, parents and the wider community. You will undertake assessment of referred students including home visits, prepare personalised plans in consultation with relevant staff and contribute to the case management and coordination of support services for students and their families.
This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to the implementation of this new initiative and play a pivotal role in increasing the participation and engagement of students in educational programs. This includes developing and implementing responsive intervention strategies, and support systems tailored to the needs of students, families and staff, as well being able to proactively identify opportunities for improved integration of services.
