The Enterprise Governance and Partnerships Division supports the Department of Education’s commitment to high-quality education for every child from Kindergarten to Year 12 by strengthening system-level performance, governance, and partnerships. The Division provides senior leaders with clear visibility and assurance over strategic priorities, enabling confident decision-making that supports improved learner outcomes and smooth pathways into further education or the workforce.
The Division drives high performance by delivering strategic projects using robust program and project management, aligning governance standards to the complexity of initiatives, and enhancing oversight through quality assurance and data-driven insights. It also builds and maintains strong internal and external partnerships—including with higher and international education stakeholders—to ensure strategic alignment, effective collaboration, and positive relationships that support the Department’s long-term objectives.
The Role
The role provides high-quality clerical and administrative support to the Division to ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently and effectively. This includes managing correspondence, undertaking basic research, preparing routine reports, and maintaining accurate filing systems for corporate records, projects, initiatives, and committee activities.
The position supports effective communication and coordination by managing diaries, meetings, telephone and email enquiries, and visitor interactions. It is also responsible for preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes, following up actions as required, and liaising professionally with Senior Executive Officers, departmental staff, and external agencies.
The role also assists with practical and financial administration, including travel arrangements, budget support, processing payments, credit card reconciliation, monitoring expenditure, and preparing financial reports, contributing to sound administrative and financial management across the Division.
