About the Role

Gascoyne Junction Remote Community School (RCS) is looking for a dedicated and passionate Principal, who is committed to achieving the best educational outcomes for our students. Gascoyne Junction is located approximately 180kms east of Carnarvon, on Ingarrda Country where the Lyons and Gascoyne Rivers meet.

The school serves a community of approximately 10 students and their families within a caring and supportive environment. As the principal, you will work to ensure teachers are supported to create learning environments that promote the academic progress and achievement of every student. You will be an instructional leader with an understanding of current practices to continue the focus on high impact teaching. Proven experience in setting the optimal conditions for teachers to cater to students with diverse learning needs through data informed practice is highly desirable.

The principal will have a strong understanding of leading a culturally responsive school, valuing the local Aboriginal community, and will work with the community to ensure there is a partnership between school and the community.

The principal is responsible for using innovation and creativity to establish systems and structures fostering academic achievement to nurture the social and emotional development of students, whilst engaging the school community within educational programs of the school.
