The Infrastructure Division, within Education Business Services, has responsibility for the provision of facilities (land, buildings and equipment) for the Department, which includes demographic forecasting and facilities planning, strategic asset management, delivery of capital projects, maintenance and minor works programs. The Division also provides security, emergency management and environmental services to schools.
The Role
We are seeking an individual who can adapt to change and work under pressure to achieve desired outcomes in a highly demanding environment, often with urgent and competing priorities. The successful applicant will draw upon extensive asset and property management, and lease administration experience and knowledge.
The Manager, Property and Leasing position is key leadership role within the Infrastructure Operations directorate. You will:
- lead a team that manages the Department’s extensive property and leasing portfolio, providing expert advice on asset planning, asset management and policy development
- be responsible for delivering key strategic projects, driving continuous improvement, and creating a work environment that supports diversity, safety, and personal development
- contribute to the strategic direction of the directorate by managing resources, overseeing staff performance, and ensuring compliance with policies and statutory requirements.
- be able to build strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes
- have the ability to manage the timeliness and accuracy of deliverables to ensure divisional priorities are efficiently and effectively met.
The Manager, Property and Leasing also provides operational and strategic support and advice to the Director, Infrastructure Operations and will prepare briefing notes and other Ministerial correspondence.
