The Department’s Statewide Service Division is committed to delivering tiered and connected services and support to schools that are aligned with system strategies and priorities.
The Division provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
The Service Design and Support directorate provides the shared functions and support needed to provide better services to schools. It also coordinates, implements and supports programs, initiatives, and specific projects.
The Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will work flexibly to provide operational support to Statewide Services.
Note, the position may be required at times to have a dual location of Padbury and East Perth, supporting the office of the Executive Director. As such, work location flexibility is highly desirable.
You will ideally be experienced in providing high-level communications support and in building trusted relationships. This role requires:
- highly developed writing skills and communications expertise
- an ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
- an ability to deliver on agreed outcomes in specified timelines
- an ability to work with managers, directors and other senior staff.
You will
- provide practical support and be responsive to emerging needs and focus areas
- contribute to and support operational processes
- prepare written responses and communications to various audiences.
The position reports formally to the Project Support Manager, and forms part of the Service Design and Support Directorate. Noting that, operationally depending on deliverables there is accountability to other senior officers. #Linkedin
