This is a 9 month fixed term, full-time position commencing March 2026
The Department’s Statewide Service Division is committed to delivering tiered and connected services and support to schools that are aligned with system strategies and priorities.
The Division provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
The Service Design and Support directorate provides the shared functions and support needed to provide better services to schools. It also coordinates, implements and supports programs, initiatives, and specific projects.
The Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will work flexibly to provide operational support for a range of projects. This role requires experience in providing practical support and the ability to respond to emerging needs and focus areas.
A flexible mindset and ability to offer support in range of areas is essential.
This role requires highly developed writing skills, an ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, and the ability to deliver on agreed outcomes in specified timelines.
The successful applicant will ideally be a confident and proactive communicator with experience in building trusted relationships. You will provide operation support across a range of areas and support business areas as needed. This includes support for projects, writing responses, memos, providing support for using systems (such as targeted initiatives – note training is available), and potentially contract management.
This means while reporting to the Manager, Project Support you may operationally be assisting in other areas and reporting to other staff.
