This is a 3 month fixed term, full-time position commencing March 2026 

Statewide Services supports the Department of Education’s strategic commitment to ensure every child from Kindergarten to Year 12 has access to high-quality education, underpinned by excellence in teaching and strong leadership. The branch focuses on enabling learning environments that meet the diverse needs of students and prepare them for future success.

The branch delivers targeted services and supports to schools to drive student achievement, with particular emphasis on students and schools requiring additional assistance. While its primary role is school-facing service delivery, Statewide Services also plays a critical system-facing role by contributing expertise to policy development, strategic initiatives, and statewide improvement efforts.

The Role

The Capability Support branch leads and manages the implementation and coordination of online learning systems and tools for use in schools and for staff professional learning across the organisation. The branch oversees and manages processes for the production and publication of classroom and professional learning resources. We support the development and delivery of identified system professional learning and resource development priorities and provide expert advice to support the delivery of Statewide Services systems.

In this role you will perform a full range of administrative functions including handling enquiries, preparing correspondence and documentation, record keeping, diary management, coordinating travel arrangements (when required), purchasing, accounts processing and budget monitoring.

The role may also assist in the day-to-day coordination of professional learning programs including maintaining systems and data bases, handling customer service enquiries, organising workshops, preparing workshop materials, and coordinating bookings for venues and catering. Workshop set-up and catering management may be part of the administrative duties.

The role requires with well-developed Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet processing skills and proficiency with other components of Microsoft Office, as well as sound written, oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels and provide customer-focussed services.

Applicants who are proactive, capable of working independently, able to deal with multiple demands, have good organisational skills, exhibit a flexible approach, and have a strong attention to detail will be highly regarded.
