South Ballajura Primary School is located at the southern end of Ballajura and currently has approximately 350 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our specialised team of early childhood teachers and education assistants provide younger students with an excellent introduction to education. The school has a strong focus on literacy and numeracy; and sets high expectations for all students.
Students come from diverse cultural backgrounds; with the majority of students having a language background other than English. Students are supported by a team of dedicated teachers and education assistants.

The Role
Join our team as a Gardener – Handyperson and help foster a positive learning environment. As a key member of the facilities team, you will play an important role in maintaining the school grounds and buildings, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and welcoming for students, staff and community.
The role involves maintaining turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, and landscaped spaces, along with undertaking handyperson and maintenance tasks across the campus. You will manage hard landscaping features such as courts and paving, assist with repairs and upkeep, and contribute to creating an inviting, functional, and inspiring outdoor and learning environment.
Maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in good working order will be desirable to supporting a positive school culture. You will work closely with the Manager of Corporate Services to develop safe work procedures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation.
