The Role

As a Student Support Officer, you will play an important role in fostering student engagement and wellbeing. You will develop and implement proactive programs that support students’ academic, social and emotional needs. This includes working collaboratively with the Student Central and Student Support Officer teams to support individual students and group programs to enhance engagement. These activities and roles are defined in consultation with the Line Manager and Principal. In addition, you would build strong, supportive links between students, families, and relevant stakeholders, while contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and supported.

The successful applicant will ideally be collaborative, reliable and self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should thrive in a busy environment and be able to meet deadlines effectively. Experience in providing student support strategies and implementing intervention programs will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you will ideally be passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and committed to creating an inclusive school community that nurtures and supports all students to reach their personal best.
