The Role
The successful applicant will be an integral member of a collaborative and high-performing leadership team, working to improve student achievement and learning outcomes across the school. The Deputy Principal will demonstrate sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a broad depth of curriculum expertise across Kindergarten to Year 6.
The role requires demonstrated experience in a Deputy Principal role, or in a substantive leadership position with comparable responsibilities, including leading and supporting teaching staff to improve classroom practice. The successful applicant will ideally model effective teaching and learning, share expertise, and provide instructional leadership to build staff capacity.
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are well regarded, along with the ability to problem-solve, manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced school environment. Strong Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills are highly desired to support teaching and learning, data analysis, communication and school operations.
Experience or training in the Sounds-Write program, or demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based structured literacy approaches, will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain positive partnerships with parents, staff, community members and external agencies, contributing to a culture of collaboration, professionalism and continuous improvement.
