A great opportunity exists to join a vibrant and enthusiastic team of compliance review/audit professionals. The school compliance review program is a key part of the governance and assurance framework over finances in WA public schools. The program works with school staff and promotes a positive culture of high integrity, self-awareness and self-improvement.
This diverse school compliance officer position presents an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified financial audit or compliance professionals to lead and contribute towards supporting schools, and great outcomes for the Department of Education.
Our ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience and well developed knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework, standards, risk management and best practice methodologies relevant to financial compliance.
You will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, and work independently and in a team environment.
Suitable applicants will identify issues arising from policy changes, financial and taxation reforms and the introduction of new systems or technology. You will contribute to developing best practice in finance, administration, human resources and related discipline.
The role is based at 151 Royal St East Perth, and requires regular travel to school sites to conduct onsite reviews and provides opportunity to travel around the State. Travel related costs are met by the Department in accordance with Public Sector Award. # Linkedin
