About the team/business unit

Location Services provides trusted location data and spatial services to support the management and development of Western Australia to benefit the community. Geospatial creates and maintains the State’s foundational location information and delivers spatial services and data to customers.

About the role

As a Senior Spatial Officer in the Boundary Definition team, your role will entail: 

  • Preparation of Plans and Maps to support Government Priorities
  • Preparing technical descriptions of land and administrative boundaries 
  • Researching and investigating tenure and other historical data
  • Ensuring outcomes align with relevant legislation, policy, procedures and guidelines 
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders 

This is a Permanent Full-Time position, however Part Time arrangements may be considered.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, please address the following in your cover letter:

  • Demonstrated experience of your previous survey/cadastral drafting and/or cartographic presentation skills (Proficiency in CAD or GIS software is desirable)
  • Sound research and investigative skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions for complex challenges
  • Previous experience in the interpretation and application of policy, procedures or legislation  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
