It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development. Professional Capability drives the ongoing development of our workforce. Its purpose is to build professional capability to improve student achievement by enabling teaching and leadership excellence.
The Student Engagement and Wellbeing Directorate provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised School Psychologist Consultant to coordinate, support and deliver training to regions, schools and staff in the provision of professional learning and supports in relation to Suicidal Behaviour and Non-Suicidal Self Injury through the Schools Response Program. The successful applicant will ideally possess well-developed understanding of State, Commonwealth and Department directions in student engagement and wellbeing, alongside a deep connection and commitment to schools and the people in them. The ability to work in a coordinated and collaborative approach within and across agencies to is also highly desired.
Your expertise will inform and contribute to system responses to State and Commonwealth initiatives related to student engagement and wellbeing and facilitate the alignment of policy, resources, and services in mental health and wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, social and emotional learning, health and child safeguarding.
