We are seeking to establish a pool of Assistant Gardener - Handypersons for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

The Assistant Gardener – Handyperson plays a key role in maintaining the school grounds, gardens and facilities to ensure a safe, clean and attractive environment for students, staff and the wider school community.

The role involves the upkeep of turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, trees and other soft and hard landscaping features, as well as performing minor repairs and maintenance as requested. Suitable applicants will also be responsible for keeping gardening facilities, equipment, tools and machinery in a clean and serviceable condition, reporting any faults promptly. Suitable applicants will ideally have a passion for working outdoors, sound knowledge of safe work practices, and effective communication skills to support positive working relationships with school staff and external stakeholders
