The Role

Moorine Rock PS is seeking a motivated and committed Early Childhood teacher to join our school community. Moorine Rock PS is a small regional school with supportive staff, engaged families, and a strong focus on student learning and wellbeing. At Moorine Rock PS, we reach for the stars, supporting all students to achieve their potential.

The teaching context is Kindergarten to Year 2 (K-2), with the possibility of a Pre-Primary to Year 2 configuration. The successful applicant will ideally display a commitment to high-impact teaching practices and a willingness to engage in explicit instruction. Experience in, or a willingness to implement, the Sounds-Write phonics program is required, with relevant professional learning provided to support the delivery of whole-school initiatives. Teachers work closely with and value the support of Education Assistants to enhance student learning and wellbeing.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.  At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
