Western Australian College of Agriculture (WACOA) – Morawa is seeking to appoint a Kitchen Hand Domestic to join their team.

The WACOA - Morawa, a highly regarded College which provides Agricultural Education and Training to students in Years 10, 11 and 12.

The Residential Campus was built in 1992, with an additional two sixteen bed dorms and a six bed medical centre completed in 2011 and now houses up to seventy two male and female students. The design varies between individual rooms with shared ablutions or twin share rooms with a private ensuite. The dormitories are modern and well designed, fully air-conditioned and each have a common room with kitchenette and television. The Residential Campus has a state of the art dining room and kitchen where students are provided with full board.

The Role

The successful applicant will undertake general cleaning, catering or laundry duties across the College and Residential Boarding facilities, ensuring that a high standard of health, safety and hygiene is maintained. Duties will be concentrated in the kitchen area; however, the successful applicant may be required to assist across all areas as needs arise. Promptly report equipment and facilities faults whilst undertaking other related duties, as requested.

To be suitable for this role, the Kitchen hand is required to work well in a team environment to help prepare a large volume of meals on a daily basis. The ability to work unsupervised, good planning and coordinating skills to ensure adequate preparation of meals will be highly regarded.
