
We are seeking to establish a pool of Library Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Cyril Jackson Senior Campus (SC) offers a wide range of year 11 and year 12 courses. We have students of various ages from 16 and up who are working towards graduation or pursuing their interests, including tertiary aspirants and mature-aged students.
Most students are aged between 16 to 25 years old. The school also has an extensive Intensive English Centre (IEC) for students within this age range.
Cyril Jackson SC offers an alternative to students who wish to study senior school courses in a mature learning environment with an ethos of strong support. We pride ourselves on our ability to accommodate differences through flexibility and commitment to innovation.

The Role
We are seeking friendly and flexible Library Officers who can build positive relationships with our diverse range of students and parents/carers, colleagues and the wider community and be a capable and supportive team member.
As the Library Officer you would support the day-to-day operations of the library and provision of reference, information, and associated services to teaching staff and students. Other responsibilities of the Library Officer include assisting students and staff with the selection of appropriate reading resources and supervising small groups of students in class learning activities relating to the library.
Suitable applicants should provide general clerical and library support, including preparing correspondence and booking equipment and facilities. They should maintain the resources and environment of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. They would also operate library systems which ensure library records are up-to-date and library resources are maintained and accessible.
The Library Officer should handle enquiries and guide students and staff in using library equipment and locating library resources and information. Knowledge of how to run and manage a budget, including the purchasing of relevant stock and required licenses is highly regarded. Capacity to assist and resolve school Information Technology (IT) projects and issues would also be highly regarded. Knowledge of Infiniti software is highly desirable.
