The Role
We are seeking an applicant who ideally possesses strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with an excellent customer service focus which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the community. The successful applicant should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently using initiative, collaboratively as a part of a team and in conjunction with a diverse range of individuals and professionals, maintaining a calm and professional service whilst prioritising tasks and dealing with conflicting deadlines in a busy school/office environment.
As an Administration and Library Support Officer at our school, you may be required to work across a variety of school administration areas, in addition to the library duties. The successful applicant will support student-related activities such as maintaining student attendance records, generating routine reports and correspondence related to absenteeism, assisting with student enrolment procedures, undertake reception duties including greeting visitors, answering the telephone and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information
The successful applicant will also administer library systems which ensure library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are accessible and available to students, staff and parents at all times. The Administration and Library Support Officer will coordinate library visits, assist with design and create library displays, and ensure library materials are available to staff, students and parents. They will assist in training and advice to staff and student on various library equipment and digital technology.
Other components of this role include assisting with various administration duties. This includes updating information in school information systems. You will also assist with various administrative including preparing correspondence, newsletters, excursion notes, notices, updating social media and other materials and booking equipment and facilities.
The ability to use computers and a range of application software packages, particularly Student Information System (SIS), spreadsheets and word processing would be highly desirable, as would experience in attendance, library systems, enrolments, RM Billing and other school-based processes.
