The Role

Campbell Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Gardener - Handyperson to join our team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for presenting our schools grounds in a clean, attractive and tidy condition, making improvements to ensure a safe and clean school environment. In this role you will ideally possess a strong capacity to complete minor repairs and maintenance jobs in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines.

In addition, you will provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management. You will maintain tools and horticultural equipment in a serviceable condition. As a Gardener – Handyperson, you will provide advice and support to the Manager Corporate Service on school grounds maintenance.

To be successful in this role you should possess knowledge of gardening methods and procedures, including the safe use and storage of gardening equipment, materials, and chemicals. You should be a hard-working facilities team member, willing to undertake professional learning and willing to share your special skills. Ideally you will be reliable, have a proactive approach to tasks and a strong work ethic.
