The Role

We are seeking a friendly and committed Youth Engagement and Support Worker to join our team.

As a Youth Engagement and Support Worker, you would be committed to working and assisting young people. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting Student Engagement and Support staff in identifying and responding to the additional needs of students. You would work in partnerships with key services providers to coordinate and deliver activities that aim to support and engage students at risk, including individual and small group interventions. In-addition, you would undertake some administrative tasks such as data entry, report writing, meeting minutes and management of student case notes. Knowledge of or experience with high school procedures and processes are preferable.

The successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds. The successful applicant will be an integral member of the Student Services Team and should ideally be able to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team without direct supervision. An ability to be proactive and seek out feedback as well as being able to receive guidance from others is also highly desirable.
