The Role
Paraburdoo PS is looking for a warm, passionate and dedicated Early Childhood educator who is committed to making a real difference for our young learners. This position is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced teacher to share their leadership strengths, or for an early career teacher to grow their confidence and skills within a supportive team.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic teacher who brings strong communication skills and authentic connections with colleagues, students and families. The successful applicant will ideally be a flexible and collaborative team player who delivers high quality learning through engaging and Explicit Direct Instruction, including daily reviews, active participation and purposeful lesson design.
With Scaling Up Success and The Resilience Project beginning in 2026, you will play an important role in creating a consistent, caring and uplifting learning environment that supports student achievement and wellbeing. Familiarity with UFLI, Top Ten Mathematics and Positive Behaviour Support is desirable.
At Paraburdoo PS our educators are positive, team oriented and deeply committed to helping every child thrive. We are looking for someone who embraces social emotional learning, builds a joyful and engaging classroom culture and values ongoing professional learning and coaching.
A strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and the ability to differentiate for diverse learners is highly regarded. Experience or interest in working with Aboriginal students and nurturing pride in identity and culture will be considered an asset.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
