The Role
Perth Modern School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic School Officer to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will ideally display the ability to work effectively both within a collaborative team environment and independently. They would bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, presenting as professional, positive, and approachable while engaging with students, families, staff, and the wider community as the first point of contact. A proactive attitude, initiative, and a willingness to approach challenges with a flexible and adaptive approach are highly regarded.
The role requires experience in school administrative and financial processes, including tasks such as receipting payments and processing invoices. The successful applicant should also have the ability to support the management of school databases, records, and management information systems, ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and routinely maintained.
Proficiency in SIS, Compass, RM Billing, and RM Finance is highly desirable for this position.

- Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and /or preparing financial returns.
- Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment..
