Ministerial Services are seeking to establish a pool of Ministerial Liaison Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2026 and up to the end of December 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Ministerial Services Unit is the conduit between the Department of Education and the offices of the Minister for Education; Early Childhood Education and Minister for Tertiary and International Education. Well-developed communication skills and a keen eye for detail are essential for this role, as you will provide guidance on clear, effective writing that aligns with government standards and ministerial requirements.

To be successful in this role you will establish effective working relationships, enabling you to work collaboratively with the Ministerial Services team and staff across the Department, and problem-solve to balance multiple priorities and competing deadlines to ensure all timeframes are met.
