The School
Coastal Lakes College (CLC) is an Independent Public School (IPS) seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent, and enthusiastic teacher of Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN) with excellent interpersonal skills and curriculum knowledge. The Role

The successful applicant will ideally possess knowledge and understanding of the AUSLAN curriculum, displaying current and effective teaching practices and be supportive of the College’s ethos, strategic goals, and directions. We are looking for an applicant who is creative in their approach and recognises student individualities. The ideal applicant will provide an inclusive and differentiated education environment that fosters students learning and development. It is highly desirable for the successful applicant to have knowledge and skills in teaching AUSLAN to students with complex behavioural and learning needs and to students with low literacy and low-level language skills.
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, motivated, and skilled educator who is committed to improving outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole of college approaches of explicit teaching and instructional strategies. They will pursue excellence in teaching, develop high quality teaching and learning programs and preferably have a strong understanding of how to meet the social-emotional learning needs of their students. It is desirable that the successful applicant possesses a high level of collaborative practice, together with interpersonal skills, to enable effective participation and engagement within the school and community to purposefully build partnerships.
