Program Coordinator - Connected Community School trial
Girrawheen Senior High School (SHS) is proud to be part of the Connected Community School trial, a four-year, Department of Education initiative that is part of the Better and Fairer School Agreement. Commencing in 2026, the trial aims to connect our students, families and school community with services and supports to improve education and wellbeing outcomes.
Girrawheen SHS is a culturally diverse school community, where we not only strongly believe in achieving academic success, but also the development of a well-rounded individual who genuinely comprehends the importance of contributing positively to society. With parents, families and our committed staff, we create a positive and safe learning culture where students are recognised and rewarded for their accomplishments and leave our school with a firm foundation for successful futures.
We believe that education is most powerful when students are supported not only academically, but socially, emotionally and culturally and we are committed to ensuring every student can achieve success in their learning and post-school pathways. Our established partnerships extend student learning across many learning areas including performing arts (Performing Arts Academy), sports (Elite Sports Program), leadership and academics, and the New North Education Initiative.
