This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026

Established in 2013, Butler College is a vibrant and progressive secondary school for students in Years 7 to 12. Located near the coast in Perth’s northern suburbs, our 10-hectare campus is modern, accessible, and well maintained. A distinctive feature of Butler College is our endorsed Education Support Program, which currently supports 80 students with diverse educational, behavioural, and medical needs. Purpose-built facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool, a range of sensory spaces, and well-equipped classrooms, enable us to deliver high-quality, individualised learning experiences.

Complementing this, our Learning Support Program provides targeted assistance in mainstream classes for more than 75 students with diagnosed or imputed disabilities. The Role

We are seeking a relational, proactive, and committed Disability Support Coordinator to join our College.

In this role, you will work closely with the Program Coordinators for both Education Support and Learning Support to review, develop, and implement systems and intervention strategies that provide responsive, safe, and effective support for students with disabilities, their classroom teachers, and relevant staff. You will also assist the School Administration team with escalation procedures, emergency preparedness, and risk management planning, offering practical and timely guidance to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.

The successful candidate will bring strong organisational and leadership skills, with the capacity to coordinate multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. A comprehensive understanding of the disability sector, including knowledge of local agencies, therapies, and training providers, will be highly regarded.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. You will engage confidently and collaboratively with students, families, staff, and external stakeholders to foster positive, productive relationships that enhance student outcomes.

You will also play an active role in team meetings and multidisciplinary case conferences, supporting the development of cohesive, well-informed approaches to student support. Experience in staff development, performance support, and the management of inclusive learning resources will be considered an advantage.
