The Strategic Policy directorate is seeking to appoint a well organised and self-motivated person to join their busy and friendly team in the role of Administrative Assistant.
The Projects and Initiatives team operates as part of the Strategic Policy directorate and is responsible for developing strategies and policies to support Department and student outcomes. The team provides advice to senior leaders on Department and system-wide issues to support the delivery of strategic priorities and ministerial directions. We work collaboratively with key stakeholders to facilitate a strong evidence base for strategic policy decisions, aligned with strategic directions and government priorities.
The Role
As an Administrative Assistant you will coordinate the use of office equipment and other minor purchases and maintain stationery supplies and asset registers. In addition, our Administrative Assistants also provide clerical and administrative support, including basic research, for the team in a timely and efficient manner.
The successful applicant will be able to deal with multiple demands, possess good organisational skills to manage incoming telephone calls, visitor enquiries, diary appointments, meetings, interview schedules, emails and other communications. As well as assisting with hospitality and travel arrangements, including preparing travel documents and booking flights and accommodation.

Eligibility

- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
