The Role
Marri Grove PS are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cleaner in Charge to join this highly valued team and help us maintain exceptional standards. In this leadership role, you will organise and supervise cleaning staff, manage rosters, and provide on-the-job training to new and existing team members.
Collaborate with our dedicated facilities team to ensure every space across the school is fresh, safe, and inviting. We are seeking someone who is organised, honest, reliable, and punctual, with strong knowledge of cleaning equipment, safe cleaning procedures, and effective cleaning methods. This role involves split shifts, working 5:00am–8:00am and 2:30pm –5:30pm.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

4. Demonstrated experience in the safe storage of cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals.
5. Demonstrated ability to recognise and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets, equipment operating instructions, safety instructions and training guidelines.
- A cover letter with one (1) example from your experience that best shows your knowledge, skills, and abilities in cleaning a room or surface. Include the:
- Steps you took to clean the room or surface.
- Chemicals used on each material.
- Machinery used; and
- Action taken to maintain your safety and the safety of others.
