The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Finance Officer with strong financial acumen and interpersonal skills to join our team.
The successful applicant will coordinate financial tasks including processing of payments, invoicing, cash and asset management, reconciliation and assisting the Manager Corporate Services with managing the schools financial resources and budgeting, while ensuring procedures and processes comply with applicable legislation and policy. The role involves providing advice and support to staff on administrative procedures, business management software and matters relating to financial legislation, policy and administrative procedures. The successful applicant may also supervise administrative support staff, including scheduling and allocating tasks and managing staff performance and leave entitlements.
This position requires an applicant who ideally possesses superior organisational and time management skills in delivering and prioritising tasks when under pressure, an eye for details and a high level of accuracy. Applicants who have a strong knowledge of accounting processes, Department of Education policies and procedures, Resource Management (RM) Finance, RM Billing, School Information System (SIS) Integris and Microsoft 365 will be highly regarded.
