
We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Jilbup Primary School (PS) is situated in Hammond Park and is a new school which opened in 2024. At Jilbup PS, we offer a diverse teaching and learning program for students in Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6), including a Specialised Learning Program (SLP) for Students with Autism. The Program supports the individual needs of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) from K-6. The program targets students who do not have an intellectual disability with a focus on year level academic engagement and achievement, organisational skills, social cognition development, positive peer relationships and emotional self-regulation.

The Role
As a School Officer, you will be the first point of contact in our busy front office and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and professional operation of Jilbup PS. You will work closely with the Manager Corporate Services and school leadership to provide high-quality administrative and financial support across a range of school functions. This includes greeting visitors and responding to enquiries with professionalism and warmth, helping to create a welcoming environment for students, families, and staff. You will be the face of the school, ideally displaying a courteous and confident telephone manner and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You should have strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure these operational systems run smoothly and securely.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Accurate data-entry
- Maintaining student attendance records
- Entering payments into RM Billing
- Filing
- General word processing tasks
- Preparing and distributing Connect and Compass notices
- Assisting with medical documentation and first aid records
- Supporting the administration of student health information
- Updating medical resources and start of year processes
- Overseeing the key registry
- Maintaining relief staff files
- Coordinating maintenance requests and repairs across the school
- Assisting with the management of therapist appointments
- Support the administration team in keeping school databases and management systems accurate and up to date
The role ideally requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure these operational systems run smoothly and securely.
We are ideally seeking highly efficient, self-motivated individuals who thrive in a collaborative team setting and contributes positively to school culture. Suitable applicants will ideally display strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. A good working knowledge of Student Information System (SIS), Compass, and confidence using digital platforms is highly regarded.
